Long before it hit the theatres, ’50 Shades of Grey’ was already infiltrating our thoughts…and our closets. The movie had Brits rethinking the onesies and making a move to sexy sleepwear.
According to ebay, seductive sleepwear has been in the top of mind of UK consumers for the past 6 months. It seems that the ’50 Shades’ marketing campaign turned Brits into the second best market for sexy lingerie, following the US.
Just to give an idea, Agent Provocateur had their sales increased by 210%. What is most surprising is that the change is not limited to the ladies’ wardrobe. The research also points that silk grey ties – made famous by Christian Grey’s character – has seen a leap in sales by 95%.
