The New House Model

Let’s face it, Generation Y should be called Generation Crisis.

The cost of living is one of the biggest problems young people have to face it these days. Some professions can only be practiced in cosmopolitan cities, however rent prices and beginners salaries are not talking to each other.

We’ve talked about how Sweden has been combating problems of house shortage. Now, a Dutch company came up with a solution that taps into space and rent.

Heijmans created a wooden box as home alternative for urban professionals. The two storey place that can be assembled in 24 hours fits only one occupant.

Although the price is yet to be revealed, two house alternatives are being showed in Amsterdam. One of them has a 28 year old resident already.

It does look better than having 10 flatmates, right?
