Here are the real winners and losers from last night’s Golden Globe Awards. Because, if it wasn’t for the fashion, they could send the awards by mail.
Best Fashion – Who Dares Wins
It could had been a recipe for disaster, but the colour and shape matched perfectly with the petite actress.
Although her movie was a big winner, Emma wasn’t nominated for any awards. The freedom allowed her to choose this Lanvin jumpsuit and win fashion red carpet. Well done!
Fun is half the work. Zosia sure looks like the one who had most fun getting ready for the red carpet.
Safe Bets Sometimes Pay Off
Jen is an icon in many ways, but fashion isn’t one of them. She always shines brighter when she goes for the safe bet. This Saint Laurent is stunning and age appropriate. Well done!
Fire and Ice
The colours of the night were red and white/silver. Thanks Lupita for spice things up in a purple Giambattista Valli dress.
Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson. No explanation needed.
Zac Posen had a lot of work before the Golden Globes. From 3/4 of the Girls’ cast to Katherine Heigl, he dressed almost everyone.
Miu Miu dressed the other half of Golden Globes attendees, but it wasn’t so successful. Sienna Miller, for example, was having a perfect red carpet strike before this “too short in the front” dress.
Here are the people who weren’t so fortunate in dress picking. I say hot messes, but there wasn’t anything hot in these four looks.
Some women get in wrong for trying to hard, this doesn’t seem to be the case for Ruth Wilson. The green Prada dress showed us how the actress has zero fashion sense and professional stylist around. The colour isn’t flattering and the dress is almost too simple for a strong TV actress contender (and then winner).
Keira Knightley‘s case was the extreme opposite. We know she knows her fashion, but it was just a case of not following everything Karl Lagerfeld tells you to wear. The custom dress, clearly from the Chanel Métiers D’Art made the actress look like a 18th Century Clown. Keira, you can do better!
Jennifer Lopez…let’s just say she beat Conchita as best dressed Trans.
Oh, I didn’t forget about Lana Del Rey, but she honestly doesn’t deserve words…
