Meet London-based-Brazilian-born jewellery designer Fernando Jorge. The Central Saint Martins alumni is getting a lot of buzz after his nomination for a British Fashion Award in the category of Emerging Accessory Designer.
After receiving praise in foreign land, the designer is finally getting noticed in his own country (as it often happens). The fashion coolhunter e-commerce Moda Operandi already gave him a trunkshow. Barney’s and Le Bon Marché are one of the many retailers that stock his pieces. Finally, he arrived in Brazil. During the month of December his pieces are being displayed at Studio Esther Giobbi in his hometown of Sao Paulo.
Jorge’s latest collection ‘Fusion’ explores more shapes than colours. Although the pieces have a reasonable size and are full of details, they distance themselves from the maxi-trend. The slim shapes provides elegance to the collection. The pieces come in three different colour palettes: light pink, violet and black&white.
