Jeff Koons vs. Hermès

Jeff Koons and Hermès joined forces to help the United Nations Foundation’s Shot@Life that advocates for vaccination worldwide. The American artist has created exclusive pieces for a fundraiser organised by Project Perpetual.

Koons has customised some very special Birkin Bag’s donated by Sofia Coppola, Marc Jacobs and Diane von Furstenberg to be auctioned this weekend. The event will also feature life size sculpture’s made by Koons that incorporated the iconic bag.

The most special piece will be a sculptured inspired by Pablo Picasso’s 1902 painting ‘La Soupe’. Koons’ version is far more glamorous than the Spanish since the woman giving the soup to a girl is holding two Birkin Bags.
